When you're a kid EVERY day should be a good day. And EVERY day should be a day filled with pretending to be an astronaut or doctor or scientist…not worrying about food, shelter or safety ... unfortunately

EACH year in Madison County there are over 2000 reports of child abuse or severe neglect. There are over 500 Madison County Children in the Foster Care System. Last year due to funding limitations, the local CAJA office was able to help 20% of these children. All proceeds from Yuri’s Night Hunstville 2010 will stay right here in Madison County to help build the capacity for CAJA to serve more children.

The Court Appointed Juvenile Advocates (CAJA) program of Madison County is affiliated with the National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association (CASA). There are over 950 CASA/CAJA programs nationwide. It is an all-volunteer, community-based solution to the growing problem of abuse, neglect and abandonment.

The Yuri’s Night Huntsville 2010 is a celebration of space, community, and our dreams for the future and for the dreams of all of our children. The educational events that will take place leading up to the event will be organized for Jr. High School students. Your sponsorship dollars will help inspire this new generation of students and help CAJA advocate for many others. So please join us in this effort to dream, explore, and celebrate.
